Strategy Enterprise and Innovation Subject Group
Our world is changing at an incredible pace, fuelled by new technologies, innovative management structures and new ideas. The Strategy, Enterprise and Innovation (SEI) subject group equips students with the skills to develop ideas that strengthen organisations – from entrepreneurial start-ups to national governments – and help them grow.
We work with major organisations around the world, including the Royal Air Force (RAF) – and for the past 7 years, we've helped the RAF develop new leadership and technological strategies to deal with emerging threats.
The Strategy, Enterprise & Innovation subject group is part of the Portsmouth Business School, and sits within the University's Faculty of Business and Law.
TeachingOur lecturers and academics have extensive industrial experience with organisations like Procter & Gamble, Hampshire Fire Service and Rescue and Crown Packaging Ltd. Their expertise in areas such as innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability informs our collaborative teaching, so our students graduate with an excellent understanding of the contemporary issues and opportunities facing entrepreneurs and starts-ups.

Our research and innovation work has been funded by organisations and institutions including the EU, the Federation of Small Businesses, and ANZAM-BAM. We've also worked with many companies on successful Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).
